Chanel Dripping Logo Canvas: DIY

All you'll need for this project is a canvas (this one is a 16 x 20), brushes, card stock, and your choice of  acrylic paint. (I used a pink color called Dragon Fruit and just your basic white.)

Step 1: You'll need to decide what size logo you would like. For mine, i know it may seem odd, but I traced the top of a flower pot onto two sheets of card stock to get a perfect circle. You'll also need to trace something smaller than your first circle. (In my case the flower pot.) I used a mixing bowl from my kitchen. Cut that out. You will also need to cut out about 1/4 of the circle to make it into the "C".

(If you don't have anything to trace, you can also type the letter "C" in Word and print it out.)

Step 2: After you've cut out the letters, trace them with a pencil onto your canvas.

Step 3: Next, you will add the "drips" to the canvas. You will draw this in pencil.

(Even if you're not an artist, it's really simple to draw!)

Step 4: Now you are ready to begin painting. With your background color, (pink in my case) you're going to apply the color with a large sponge brush to cover the whole canvas quickly. (Make sure you  use the up and down stroke so it doesn't leave any visible streaks.) Allow at least 30 minutes to dry, and then apply a second coat of paint if desired.

Step 5: Although it's not showing up in the picture, you can still see the outline drawn in pencil. Now you are going to take your secondary color(s) and outline the logo with a fine tip paint brush (You can find these at any craft store. I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby.) After you've outlined, fill in the rest of the logo with a slightly larger brush. Allow first coat to dry for at least 30 minutes. A second coat will more than likely be needed.
